6 x Dinky Toys 30S 413 Austin Covered Wagons in Trade Box

A box full of Dinky jewels! This original Dinky Trade Box has the full complement of 6 x dazzling Austin Covered Wagons with metal canopies. Each one has a lustrous all original finish, although with a few marks as you might expect for essentially unboxed models from 1954. Bright baseplates and metal parts. Smooth black tyres are well-shaped save for one model which has a couple of flat tyre spots.

In brief:

2 x two tone blue models (one darker blue, one mid blue) are graded near mint plus

3 x models are graded near mint with a little more marking ( 2 x maroon with tan canopies and one two-tone blue example)

1 x two tone blue model has moderate chipping and is graded excellent plus

The deep yellow s shopkeeper’s Trade box with dual-numbering is bright and intact. A little age grubbiness. Period shopkeeper’s price of 3/5 on the lid (price for each model contained within the trade box in the mid-1950’s). Tarnished staples. Dinky stamp on the underside of the box dates the Trade Box from December, 1954. Note that at some time replacement card dividers have been added in order to prevent further chipping of models.
