Dinky Toys 410 Bedford End Tipper
Bedford End Tipper by Dinky Toys, No. 410 . Near mint plus/boxed. Red and cream issue, red cast wheels, window glazing. Transition issue. With card packing ring. From The Sherwood Collection.
Notes
A very displayable example of this unusual model, issued between 1954-61. Red cab, hubs and chassis, cream back. Window glazing.
Bright metal parts, including baseplate and winding handle.
Occasional tiny mark to the paint. It displays very nicely and works well although painstaking scrutiny with magnification finds a few small retouches.
The more unusual red and yellow card box is brightly-coloured and complete. Packing ring is still present too.
Minor age grubbiness/wear and a shopkeeper’s price of 6/6 is pencilled at an end flap.
A very attractive example.
