Dinky Toys 555 Fire Engine

Notes
The early issue of this classic Dinky toy made between 1952-54. This Commer Fire Engine has a bright red finish (no sunfading) with a silver extending ladder and both shining bells on the roof. Original grey treaded tyres (light flat spot to one).
Several tiny marks to the paint finish. Closest inspection finds a few tiny dot retouches. The silver ladders presents well (often found with significant marking, Happily not so, in this case).
Note that this example has copper tension fixing which hold the ladders in place when extended – good design point!
The early blue Dinky Toys box has such strong colours on intact card. No fading and that includes the portion at the sides not covered by the lid. Complete and bright paper label too. Period pencilled price and light wear.
