Notes
Issued 1948-52, this is a scarce British heavyweight Foden Platform Lorry is finished in pale grey and red, with a grey fuel tank. Beautifully constructed, this was part of a small range of diecast constructional models made between 1948-52 by this British manufacturer. Sold with the necessary tools to take apart and rebuild, this Foden model measures 32cms x 9.5cms. approx.
Complete with spare wheel stowed underneath.
Very little marking to the paint finish, and good to see that the majority of the Shackleton transfer behind the cab is very close to complete.
Especially difficult to find with its distinctive sturdy colourful card box. Almost always found with substantial wear, this example is sound and compete if showing some age and storage wear. No repairs.
Original tools, booklet and key included in the small original card tray:
8-Ton Dyson Trailer is finished in pale blue and red and has a close to complete ‘Dyson’ transfer. More chipping and wear to the paint finish. Tyres are well-shaped.
Bright, sturdy end flap has heavy wear with end flaps missing at one end. Stamped "Yellow’ at one end.
