What a fine Gift Set! Inspired by the t.v. show ‘The Avengers’, this is a very close to mint example, issued between 1966-69. A sought-after set that is often found with replacement/reproduction parts. We are very pleased to say that this example is in original condition with all parts authentic.
It comprises:
1) John Steed’s Bentley in red and black finish, complete with all parts, and including the figure of John Steed at the wheel.

In very near mint condition with a couple of miniscule scratches on the bonnet.
2) Emma Peel’s Lotus Elan S2 is in white finish. One of the best examples we have seen in a long while! Mint original condition! There are no marks to the paint, and there is a fine sheen to the paint finish. Suspension is fine on shaped spun wheels.

This set comes with one original plastic umbrella! So often the sets you find for sale have reproduction metal or plastic umbrellas. It is rare indeed to find any of the originals with the set – happy to say that one umbrella is still present with this set!
Inner card plinth is in super condition with very vibrant atmospheric graphics. Clean and complete with both pull-out tabs at the sides and stiff upstand.

None of the usual wear and tear at the wheel slots. Original figure of Emma Peel is still in place.
The card outer box is in excellent superb condition; complete, fresh and bright with vivid graphics and no tears. Crumple at one non-picture side and a little ruffling besides.
