Dinky Toys 984 "DINKY AUTO SERVICE" Car Carrier

Issued 1958-63, this impressive Dinky truck is a sought-after model from the Dinky Supertoys range. And virtually impossible to find absolutely mint! This example is in very close to mint condition. Brightest vibrant finish with a day-one lustre to the finish. In original condition throughout, this model has a glossy, vivid red and grey finish with pale yellow lettering on both sides.

A little tarnishing to some metal parts. Well-shaped tyres.
Barely a mark on this large car carrier which can hold four Dinky toys on its decks. Notably the lettering is complete on both sides.
The light grey upper is free from the usual scuffing at raised points. The decks can be raised and lowered by means of the winding handle The hinged ramp can be lowered too. The matching Dinky Trailer (Dinky 985) could be purchased separately at the time.
The large striped Supertoys box has both upper and lower packing pieces (some near-inevitable wear and tear caused by movement of this Dinky heavyweight).

The large striped Supertoys box is complete and clean. Bright colours. Deep blue base is unfaded too. Couple pf lid corner seam repairs.
