Corgi Toys 256 VW Safari & Rhino
1200 in East African Safari Trim with Rhino by Corgi Toys, No. 256. Near mint plus/boxed, with packing. RIGHT-HAND drive version. Scarce. From The Coastline Collection.
Notes
A very popular Corgi model – this right-hand drive version is in close to mint condition, with a gleaming scarlet paint finish. Notably complete and fresh detailed bonnet label, complete door numbers and “Nairobi” label. Unmarked chrome bumpers, wheels, baseplate, and sparkling jewelled headlights. Rhino.
Just a few minor marks to the paint finish. Note this model has been factory fitted without a steering wheel (a sealed unit, so it has not gone astray).
The colourful card plinth on which car and rhino sit is a most attractive display piece. Crisp, bright and clean.
Vividly-coloured backdrop for this model. Both end pull tabs are present and firmly attached. No wheel slot tears.
Box reverse has lots of information about the “Beetle”.
The outer box is attractive with eye-catching graphics. Light age/handling wear.
No leaflet.
With circular card ring and card packing piece.
