Dinky Toys 23B Hotchkiss Racing Car
Hotchkiss Racing Car by Dinky Toys, No. 23B. Post-war issue (1948) in silver with red flash/never individually boxed. Near mint/plus. Scarce. From The Cologne Collection
Notes
In all-original condition, this delightful early racing car from 1948 has a fie sheen to the silver finish with red flash and racing number 5 on both sides. Black ridged wheels and smooth, well-shaped tyres.
Tiny wear to the finish.
This model represents so well the early days of Dinky when a model was sold simply from a shopkeeper’s trade box of six. A poignant reminder of simpler times.
