Notes
A fine and original example of this* export issue* made between 1953-54 (later renumbered 981). This Horsebox is cast in aluminium and has a very lustrous deep maroon paint finish with matching wheels, which is close to perfect. Complete lettering at both sides, virtually complete above the cab. Correct that this model does not have horses – only the Newmarket issue (D979) had horses.
Superb display piece.
Chip at a wheel arch and a few minor marks besides.
It comes the attractive early deep blue box with a bright paper label. Card packing wedge.
Hudson Dobson export label on one side of the box. No splits or graffiti. Light age/handling wear.
