Notes
Sought after models that are so difficult to find in good condition! THis is an early Indian Dinky model later these models would be marketed as Nicky Toys. Often known as Indian-Dinky toys, the finish was poor in comparison.
Finished in a pleasing shade of deep sky blue with original silver details, off-white interior, black steering wheel, intact window glazing. Silver and black plastic one-piece tyres/wheels. With bonnet emblem.
A rare find.
Shiny black base with S.KUMAR & CO LICENSEE IN INDIA on base.
Paint finish is in very close to mint condition.
Very rare to find in the early box with DINKY TOYS printed (not Nicky Toys) with S KUMAR & CO LTD CALCUTTA
and:
Registered Proprietors of Trade Mark
Meccano Ltd. Liverpool England.
Distinctly different to the ‘standard’ later Nicky Toys box therefore.
Light wear generally, although one internal end flap has a careful repair.
