Notes
An exceptional find. It is not often that rare versions of Dinky Toys from the mid-late 1950’s are brought to the attention of the market -place. But here is such an example.
This version of Dinky 111 Triumph TR2 in salmon pink has a red interior and matching cast wheels, and no number on the base. Treaded tyres.
Almost always found with a light blue interior and blue cast wheels and with product number on base.
It is usually the turquoise TR2 which has a red interior and red wheels, so we surmise this version in pink with red interior and wheels is part of a very small run.
Released toward the end of production, this is a late issue with no number on the base, treaded tyres and silvered rear numberplate. Rear light details.
A close to perfect example in salmon pink (competition) finish, with complete racing number 29 transfers throughout. White driver. Intact windscreen.
A few little marks to the paint finish and minute scrutiny under magnification finds a couple of very small touch-ins.
The box is vividly-coloured, clean and complete with the correct colour spot. Light age/handling wear.
