A remarkable item that has to make you smile! Poignant and amusing in equal measure, this is a fine homage to the Nursery Rhyme "The Old Woman in the Shoe’. This set is complete with all 5 cast lead figures, richly coloured, with satisfying detail.
A sprinkling of marks to the paint finish.
Powder blue lift-off lid box has a complete buff paper label with black print. The box lower has a deeper colour blue (at least that section not covered by the lid). Marking and light wear commensurate with age. With vivid green card insert to which all figures would have been originally strung. Circa 1949.
