Dinky 943 Leyland Octopus Tanker ESSO

Notes

This model makes a pleasing display piece with a vivid red paint finish throughout and note that this is the later issue with red plastic wheels. Tinplate tank has transfers on both sides and at rear. No dents in the tanker. The lettering at the sides is complete – little rub to one of the cream raised ribs (always vulnerable, and better than most you will see). The rear transfer is complete, too.
Baseplate has tarnished spotting and well-shaped original tyres. Spare included. Rivet fixing.

Usual minor tow hook scuff and closest scrutiny with magnification reveals some subtle touch-ins, but not really visible to the naked eye.
The striped pictorial box with italicised print is complete and bright. Shiny staples. Onky the most minor wear.
