Notes
Issued during 1962 only, this fine Gift Set is the rare transition issue, released just prior to the tan and cream version. This rare set comprises:
1) Rare mid-green Land Rover with a cream plastic textured tilt, with lemon interior, suspension on shaped spun wheels.
2) Deep plum-red red and black Trailer with shaped spun wheels with suspension and a cast drawbar.
The original brown plastic pony is still present.
The card plinth on which the models sit, is crisp and brightly-coloured with a little light wear and a couple of very small wheel slot tears.
The outer card pictorial end flap box promotes the ‘with suspension feature’ with black print on both box faces " LAND-ROVER WITH SPRING SUSPENSION’. Complete showing a little light wear. Nice to see that the packing piece for the pony, the little informative slip and larger packing piece is still present.
