French Dinky Toys 32E Berliet Fire Engine
Berliet Fire Engine by French Dinky Toys, No. 32E. Scarce. Near mint plus/boxed. From The Reference Collection.
Notes
One of our favourite French Dinky trucks, this is one of the more difficult to find Dinky Fire Engines. It presents so well with a gleaming deep cherry red lustre that has not even a touch of sunfading. Complete with with both detachable reels at the rear.
Bright base and smooth white tyres (light flat spot to one and one is a replacement).
A little retouching at the detachable reels where they attach (metal against metal causes inevitable chipping)).
The striped picture box is clean and bright with no splits. ‘Meccano Controle’ Dinky factory Quality Control stamp on the inside of the box lid. Some shelf rubbing to underside box base. Nice period price label on a short lid end.
Issued between 1957-59.
