Notes
From a selection of rare Winross models from this collector. Made in New York back in the mid-1960’s, these are 1:64 scale models mostly of the truck manufacturer, ‘White’ and had promotional advertising at the sides. Winross were the trail blazers in the U.S. for model trucks made specially for company promotion.
This bubble-nosed cabover truck promotes ‘MAINE PUBLIC SERVICE’ (electric company) and presents very well indeed. Bright mid-green shade with distinctive cab shape, matching cast wheels and well-shaped black treaded tyres. Complete detailed transfers on both sides and complete ‘LIVE BETTER ELECTRICALLY’ lettering on the roof. Well-constructed, 1:64 scale.
With both ladders.
Distinctive card and perspex box has a little wear now.
