A most popular and sought-after Gift Set from Corgi, this scarce version was issued during 1965.
It comprises:
1) Ecurie Ecosse Transporter has a pleasing light metallic blue finish, shaped spun wheels, rare with a lemon interior, light grey base. Suspension. Sliding side door, window glazing and a drop down ramp at the rear. Red lettering at the sides. Able to ‘transport’ the three racing cars included with this set! Red lettering is bright. Nice to see the original ’GENUINE TRACK-ROD STEERING ’label on the roof.
Very near mint (a little marking, mostly at the rear).
2) 150s Vanwall Formula 1 Grand Prix Car is in original virtually mint condition with driver & suspension. Bright, complete box. With Corgi Club Membership Form, full sheet of wheel trims and printed Instruction Slip.
3) Corgi 151A Lotus Mark XI Le Mans Racing Car. Very near mint. Driver, intact screen, racing strip and no. 7. Shiny spun wheels, shiny baseplate and fine tyres. Colourful and complete card picture box has very light wear.
4) 152S BRM Formula 1 Grand Prix Car is complete with driver and bright transfers. Very near mint. Crisp, bright box has very light wear. With Corgi wheel trims applied and Instruction Slip.
Important to note that this is not a later made-up set, since these items were all available individually at the time..
Pictorial Lift-off Lid Box is bright and complete with intact card.
Note that seams have been carefully inked with well-matched colour to improve the appearance.
Box inner has bright clean card with no tears. Additional card packing wedge, too:
