Notes
A very scarce and early Gift set from Dinky (1936-37). This pre-war Silver Jubilee Train set comprises a locomotive and two interlocking coaches in silver with mid blue trim. Black wheels and white tyres are all in excellent clean and bright condition. Notably, this three part set comes with all pieces intact; so often the delicate couplings break off in a set of this age.
Finish is generally bright although there is some pitting/tarnishing where the models have picked up moisture from the box over the passage of time.
The box is in superb condition – condition belies its age with such vivid bright colours. Indeed, there is barely any wear at all.
The inner is equally impressive with crisp card and a colourful pictorial scene in which all three components sit. A beautiful display backdrop!
No splits to the box – this item has survived remarkably well.
A historic Dinky set to add to your collection.
