Dinky Toys 23P MG Gardner's Record Car
Gardner's MG Record Car by Dinky Toys 23P. Near mint plus/not individually boxed.
Notes
Issued between 1946-47, this model would originally have been sold from a shopkeeper’s box of six.
An exciting model of the MG in which Major Gardner reached speeds of over 200 miles per hour in 1939.
This example has a fine sheen to the paint finish with an intact and original MG transfer on the bonnet and Union Jack labels at the sides.
Bright baseplate too with ‘MG Record Car’ on the base:
Black ridged wheels, and smooth black original tyres have no flat spots.
Only the occasional minor mark to the original paint finish. Not an easy find in this condition.
