Seldom seen in any condition, this is a close to mint example to fill that gap in your Dinky commercial collection!
Occasional little mark/light rub at a raised details as you might expect but crucially no touch-ins or repainting. Nice lustre. Well-shaped grey treaded tyres. Minor rubbing on the base caused by polishing. Note as is usual, the earlier 522 numbering on the base, since a new casting was not made when the model was given the new number 408. Period price label still attached (just over 4 dollars).
The yellow lift-off lid pictorial box is complete and brightly-Very light wear, al little shelf rubbing to the violet blue base and a period shop label on a short lid end.
Date of issue is stamped on the inside of the box li, but illegible now. Our best guess is 1957.
