Issued 1950-52, this is a scarce British heavyweight Foden Tipper finished in a most distinctive orange, pale grey and red. Beautifully constructed, this was part of a small range of diecast constructional models made between 1948-52 by this British manufacturer. Sold with some of the tools to take apart and rebuild as well as the key. Working clockwork function. This Foden Tipper model measures 26cms x 9cms. approx.
Decorative ‘Shackleton’ transfer is notably complete.
Spare wheel stowed. Some marks to the original paint finish.
Especially difficult to find with its distinctive sturdy colourful card box.
The usual wear as you might which includes heavy scuffing/rubbing and a little staining surrounding the original heavy duty staples.
