Notes
This is a most unusual item from Corgi in the scarce cream finish and made for just for one year only (1966). Usual colour finish is metallic blue.
This particular example is in close to mint condition with a fine cream finish and a notably complete and bright bonnet logo . First issue, so metal spotlights. Please note that this is an authentic example, i.e. correct that it does not have a bonnet cast square immediately surrounding the bonnet label (only the metallic blue version has this casting detail).
Presents well:
Little factory assembly chip immediately behind the roof button, another to the rear bumper edge. Front wing tip chip and a few tiny marks besides. So many of these high profile export issues have touch-ins, pleased to say that this car is in completely original condition. No paint brush full of cream paint has been used to daub over any marks that may have occurred in the factory or since.
This example comes complete with the original Waverley ring and both card card rings which fit over the roof button.
The inner card stand is clean, bright and complete. No wheel slots tears, notably. This version is more usually found with a monochrome base on which the model stands – this example has the deep orange rectangular section instead.
Lots of information on the UNITED NETWORK COMMAND FOR LAW AND ENFORCEMENT (U.N.C.L.E.) on box plinth reverse.
Really very close to shop fresh quality.
The outer box is complete, clean and bright. Fresh with a crisp feel and the lightest wear.
