Corgi Toys 206M Hillman Husky
Hillman Husky by Corgi Toys, No. 206M. Mechanical. Grey. Very near mint/boxed. From Christoph's Collection.
Notes
A quite stunning all original early Corgi mechanical car in grey finish with a flywheel motor working perfectly. These early Corgi cars are really the cream of the crop and are very sought-after. Made between 1956-59 and in very close to mint condition, this model is an especially great find and a superb display piece. A glossy lustre shows minimal handling.
Note the cream paint daub on the base. Over the years, we have seen models with this adornment from time to time. We deduce this is a factory addition, perhaps denoting that it is a rep’s sample piece? This little detail has been lost in the mists of time, so we are left to speculate.
The early blue picture box is complete, clean and vividly-coloured. A little of the usual edge rubbing and a little puncture.
