Notes
Sought after models that are so difficult to find in good condition! Dinky dies were sold to the Indian Firm S. Kumar & Co. trading as Atamco. (1968-70). Often known as Indian-Dinky toys, the finish was poor in comparison.
This Nicky Dinky car is finished in silver with a matching interior, blue driver, intact steering wheel and windscreen (although note the extra (later) glue added to ensure fitting). Early issue with shiny spun wheels and well-shaped original tyres with a fine tread.
In very near mint condition.
No "DINKY TOYS’ on shiny black base, but MGB and product number visible.
The colourful correct box (ATAMCO P LTD. Calcutta) presents well (for this range). Colourful, clean and crisp – and free of the usual heavy wear that plague these comparatively flimsy boxes. Internal end flap has a tear. Minor wear besides. Period price label.
