Issued 1948-52, this is a scarce British heavyweight Foden Platform Lorry is finished in bright sky blue and red, with a red fuel tank. Beautifully constructed, this was part of a small range of diecast constructional models made between 1948-52 by this British manufacturer. Sold with the necessary tools to take apart and rebuild, this Foden model measures 32cms x 9.5cms. approx.
Complete with spare wheel stowed underneath.
Very little marking to the paint finish, although note only the remains of the Shackleton transfer behind the cab is present now.
Especially difficult to find with its distinctive sturdy colourful card box. Almost always found with substantial wear, this example is sound and compete if showing age and poor storage wear along with grubbiness. No repairs.
Original tools and key:
8-Ton Dyson Trailer is finished in a slightly lighter shade of blue and has a virtually complete ‘Dyson’ transfer. Close to mint condition (wheel arch chips and a few little marks to the bed). Tyres are well-shaped.
Bright, sturdy end flap box lacks end flaps at one end and one internal end flap at the other. The other internal end flap is present but detached. Wear & tear besides. Correct printed colour detail at an end flap.
