This model represents one of four London Routemaster buses that were sent to Montreal Canada for the 1967 World’s Fair (Expo 67). The buses (and this model) were sponsored by Brooke Bond, the company that produces both Red Rose Coffee and Red Rose Tea. The buses operated between Philip’s Square Montreal and the main gates to Expo 67 on St. Helen’s Island on the St Lawrence River.
A scarce Canadian promotional Routemaster Bus with perfect and complete decorative ‘Red Rose Tea’ transfer on one side and ‘Red Rose Tea’ transfer on the other.
Shaped spun wheels with suspension.
Note the ‘BLUE RIBBON SPICES’ transfer at the rear (intact).
Small scuff on the roof and a few little marks to the paint finish.
This example is presented in a plain white card box. We believe that this was the plain box used for mail order. Intact and complete box. Grubbiness and light wear.
