Nicky Toys 295 Ambulance
Ambulance by Nicky (Dinky) No. 295. Scarce early issue with roof label. Near mint plus/boxed (plain white early box). From The Berlin Collection.
Notes
Sought after models that are so difficult to find in good condition! Dinky dies were sold to the Indian Firm S. Kumar & Co. trading as Atamco. (1968-70). Often known as Indian-Dinky toys, the finish was poor in comparison.
A close to mint example finished in white with RED CROSS emblems on both sides, and a particularly difficult to find early issue with roof label. Original silver details, off-white interior, steering wheel, and intact glazing, cab glazing is clear, the rest is opaque blue. Silver and black plastic one-piece tyres/wheels.
A few little marks.
Harder to find early issue plain white card box – this plain, end flap box has the correct ‘ATAMCO PRIVATE LTD. CALCUTTA’ and hand-written ‘Ambulance’ and product details. Period price penned. Light grubbiness/wear.
