A most popular and sought-after Gift Set from Corgi, this particular version was issued during 1961.
It comprises:

Pale blue lettering at the sides. Able to ‘transport’ the three racing cars included with this set. Very near mint.
2) 151a Lotus XI has a bright mid-blue finish, red seats, racing number 3. Driver.
Condition: Very near mint with driver and intact screen. Bright and complete card box shows minimal wear.
3) 150S Vanwall in vermillion with racing number 25, driver, flat spun wheels with suspension. Set of wheel trims. Instruction Slip.
Complete racing number (minor crazing). Stripe (light marking/crazing). Scarce transition issue box with 150S label at an end flap. Box is very crisp, clean and shows minimal handling.
4) 152S B.R.M. model finished in green, racing number 7. Near mint plus. Few little marks at rear point. Couple of tiny marks besides. Scarce transition issue box with 152S label at an end flap. Box is very crisp, clean and shows minimal handling. Instruction Slip for wheel trims (no wheel trims).
Lift-off Lid Box is attractive with bright clean colours on the lid. Inside you will find all of the packing card pieces/ card insert and two Corgi Club Memberhsip Forms. Instructions for the Ecurie Ecosse model too.
Minor edge rubs and a little light marking/light wear besides.
Box base however has water damage with flecks of surface paper loss.
Note that this is not a later ‘made-up’ set – all items appear to be the originals from this set. The card boxes of the individual racing cars do not bear individual prices and are exceptionally bright and crisp, showing that they have been kept away from the light inside the box.
Very nice!
