Issued between 1955-59, this lorry has a day-one bright, maroon paint finish and a perfect ‘British Railways’ label on the cab front.
An outstanding fresh original high lustre.
Brightest baseplate/metal parts too. Well-shaped smooth tyres.
Occasional minute mark if you scrutinise closely enough!
The yellow picture box continues the theme with vivid colours and a crisp feel to the card. Small tear. Penned numbering on an end flap. Note the period shopkeeper’s written note on the box top surface – a Mr. or Mrs. Lane ordered this model and it was kept to one side for the customer to collect!
