Corgi Gift Set 23

Notes

This sought-after, early issue Gift Set (1962-66) is in very close to mint condition, comprising:

1) Corgi 426 Booking Office. Version in scarlet with shaped spun wheels, suspension.
With complete paper labels and transfers throughout (slight age transparency). An attractive Smith’s Karrier Bantam Van. Very close to mint paint finish.

2) Corgi 438 Land-Rover with a vibrant blue plastic tilt, spare wheel on the bonnet and complete paper labels on both canopy sides. Virtually mint!

3) Corgi 1121 Crane Truck
in vivid red and yellow finish with notably unrubbed, light blue lettering and matching wheels. Very near mint condition. Bright metal parts. Very nice!

4) 2 x 1123 Animal Cages
with intact amber plastic roof detail and plastic sliding doors. Shaped spun wheels. Vivid red and yellow finish. Very near mint. Transfers applied.

Both sets of original animals (i.e. bears and lions) are included.

5) Corgi 606 Elephant & Cage on Trailer. Pale brown finish, early version including hook with bars.
Virtually mint with a vibrant paper label. Trailer shows minimal wear.
Pale grey elephant present.

Complete and bright white polystyrene inner.

White card packing piece which fits over the top of the contents.

Colourful pictorial box is complete and clean with a full colour, vivid Chipperfields Circus scene depicted.

No tears or repairs. Presents well. Note that the box base has a couple of storage punctures and a very small hole. Light grubbiness too.
