Notes
A popular Corgi model from the Major Packs Emergency Vehicle range of toys. The Simon Snorkel fire engine was made between 1964-74, with a Bedford cab, 6 firemen, water cannon, extending and rotating boom. This model presents very nicely with bright untarnished supports for the boom and a vivid lustre to the original paint finish.
Bright gold booms. Note this example has the rare late issue one-piece wheels and tyres, (with 8-spoke wheel detail).
Small area of paint ‘blistering’ on one side due to prolonged contact with the card inner. A few tiny marks to the paint finish.
This card and cellophane picture box is a more difficult find certainly. Clean, strongly-coloured card with intact original cellophane window. Very minor wear and a little tear to the complete and bright card insert. Nice to see all three polystyrene packing pieces are still present (one at each end flap and one that fits beneath the card insert). One set of end flaps do not appear to have ever been opened.
