Rare to come to the market place, this is a memorable and attractively packaged (albeit fragile) 4-piece Gift Set.
Set against a delightful, period card backdrop and enclosed within a card and cellophane presentation box, this spectacular Gift Set issued between 1967-68, comprises:

1) 127 Rolls Royce, in gold, chrome spun wheels. Jewelled lights. Lacks bonnet emblem. Several little marks to the paint finish.
2) 133 Cortina in lemon with spun wheels. Jewelled lights. Two marks on the driver’s door sill and a few negligible dots besides.
3) 151 Vauxhall Victor in lemon with spun wheels. Jewelled lights. Chrome window surround. Few little dots at some raised edges and discolouration at a headlight.
4) 171 Austin 1800 in metallic blue with spun wheels. Jewelled lights. Chrome window surround. Blemish on a rear door post. Small area of paint bubbling on the roof. Few minor marks to the paint finish.

All four cars come complete with front and rear number plates.
All four items are the originals for this set with three of the four still strung to the inner card stand, and never apparently removed from it. The Rolls Royce has been re-attached to the inner.

The card plinth with period car showroom backdrop of ‘MECCA AUTOS’ and city scene with Roxy cinema is clean, fresh and colourful with no tears or graffiti or colour fading. Minor crease or two.
The card and cellophane box is complete, although with such a large expanse of cellophane, it is understandable that there is some damage to both card and cellophane.

Tear to cellophane on one side and two tears nearby to the card. One small end flap has a seam tear. Remains of the original tape which kept the box lid closed. Additional factory label in white at one short end of the lid with a period price written in pen.
It is not difficult to overlook the shortcomings of this glamorous rare Gift Set!
