Corgi 422
Corgi 422 Bedford 12cwt Van "Corgi Toys". Near mint plus/boxed. Scarce issue in vibrant mid-blue with yellow roof - such an eye-catching Advertising Van. From The Pennsylvanian Collection.
Notes
Surely one of the most attractive of the early Corgi commercials, this ‘Corgi Toys’ Bedford Van has a vibrant mid-blue finish with a bright yellow roof. Complete Corgi transfers with the unmistakable dog logo on both sides. Flat spun wheels and a bright tinplate baseplate. Original fine tread tyres are as-new.
Issued between 1960-62, in various blue and yellow combinations, this is one of the most difficult to find (and our personal favourite).
This Bedford Van has a pleasing lustre to the paint finish and has just the occasional little mark to the paint. If you study it minutely, you will find a small touch-in at a roof side edge.
The picture box is complete, if a touch grubby now, showing a little age-handlign wear.
