A most popular and sought-after Gift Set from Corgi, this scarce version was issued during 1965.
It comprises:
1) Ecurie Ecosse Transporter has a pleasing light metallic blue finish, shaped spun wheels, tan interior and a light grey base. Suspension. Sliding side door, window glazing and a drop down ramp at the rear. Red lettering at the sides. Able to ‘transport’ the three racing cars included with this set! Red lettering is bright. Extra stroke of thin blue paint on the door central line.
Yellow Label ‘GENUINE TRACK-ROD STEERING’ in situ.
Complete with the Instruction Leaflet too.
2) 150s Vanwall Formula 1 Grand Prix Car is in original virtually mint condition. Driver. Suspension. Intensely crisp, fresh box.
3) 152S BRM Formula 1 Grand Prix Car is complete with driver and bright labels.
Virtually mint. Such a crisp, fresh box.
4) 154 Ferrari Formula 1 Car. Driver. Suspension. Roll bar has been carefully silvered and there is an extra dab of red paint to disguise a chip head-on. A virtually pristine box.
Important to note that this is not a later made-up set, since these items were all available individually at the time..
Pictorial Lift-off Lid Box has really bright colours on intact card. Presents very well.
Minute inspection reveals a few little careful dots of blue paint to cover little scuffs.
Box inner has bright clean card with no tears. Additional card packing wedge, too:
