Dinky 514
Dinky 514 Guy Van "LYONS SWISS ROLLS". Excellent plus/boxed. A scarce find from The Reigate Collection.
Notes
One of the most prestigious Dinky models you can own; this is the sought-after ‘Lyons Swiss Rolls’ Dinky Guy Van model issued during 1952 only. Notoriously difficult to find in mint or even close to mint condition, this example has a fine lustrous paint finish, happily free from re-touching or repainting, so often present in these high profile Dinky models. Distinctive transfers are perfect-close to perfect on both sides:
Shiny base and well-shaped original smooth tyres throughout.

A little peppering of marking to the paint in the usual places, i.e. rear doors and exposed edges, and at some wheel arches. Chip low down head-on. Cab and box van roof are really close to mint.
The model has a pleasing lustrous paint finish. Underneath, looks very bright and shiny too. Axles, including the ends, are rust-free.
The box is complete and tear-free. Shopkeeper’s original price of 5/11 is written at one end of the lid. No splits. Light sunfading to the lid. Label on the box base underside.
