Dinky 905
Dinky 905 Foden Flat Truck with Chains. Maroon with RED Supertoy wheels. Near mint/boxed. From 1956. From The Brighton Collection.
Notes
This fine Dinky commercial truck has a deep, lustrous, all original maroon paint finish throughout, with red grooved Supertoy wheels. Displays well.
Dated from July 1956 due to the Dinky stamp inside the box lid. The condition belies its age – there are few marks on this truck. Occasional little marks at some wheel arches and a dot on the roof. Tiny marking to a window post. Note the 20 mph sign still in place at one rear wheel arch and there is scarcely any of the expected rubbing to the straight chain post tops. Bright original chain. Very, very nice!
Rounded (not dimpled) chain post bosses underneath. 9 black radial tyres (including the spare) all look fine.
The striped Supertoys box is clean bright and complete. Minor age wear. LF (lead free) sticker is still in place at the box lid end.
One of the core classic commercial pieces for any Dinky collection.
