Dinky 13
Dinky 13 Hall's Distemper Advertisement. Excellent plus/boxed, with tissue wrapping. Early issue In deep red lidded box. From The Phillips Collection.
Notes
One of the most memorable early Dinky items, this set contains two lead painter figures each with a pot of paint (one blue, one green) and carrying aloft the delicate Hall’s Distemper advertisement (a later copy – so few survived)..
Few marks to the paint finish. Few dabs of cream-white paint have been applied at some time to cover marks on the white coats.
Rich deep red ‘Hornby Series’ Modelled Miniatures box impresses with light wear only. Surely few have survived in this condition. Nice to see some original wrapping (we believe) has survived too. Issued 1931-40.
