A centre piece for your Dinky Collection. This eye-catching period display piece which has working illumination measures approx. 41cms x 20 cms x 9.5cms. This sign would have been a welcome sight to any child looking for a toy shop, the mere sight of it would surely whet their appetite.
Original hardboard in yellow with plain hardboard framework. Brass fittings including the original fixing at top centre from which a chain would have been suspended. This example appears to have never been on display, merely stored away for decades – until now! Original lighting holder too. Thin (and therefore fragile) white perspex rectangular centre-piece with raised ‘DINKY TOYS’ lettering in red has survived well – still pliant.
Light wear.
Note the original Belgian Tax Stamp Label still in place.
