Corgi 246
Corgi 246 Chrysler Imperial. Rare 'purplish-blue' colour finish. Late issue. Dark grey base. Near mint plus/boxed with golf clubs & packing ring. From The Pennsylvanian Collection.
Notes
Issued between 1965-68, in various colour finishes, this attractive American car has the rarest colour finish i.e. deep purplish-blue or kingfisher blue – displaying well with this most distinctive of colour finishes.
This particular colour finish seems to have been especially difficult for Corgi – and is nearly always flaky. This example has the occasional mark to the paint finish (at opening doors & opening boot for instance). Chrome chip on a rear bumper edge. With a fine sheen, and an unfaded light blue interior. Both seated figures. Golf clubs stowed in the boot.
Late issue so a dark grey base, cast wheels with spoked detail and fine original treaded tyres.
The pictorial box is bright and complete with no tears. Plenty of end flap spring. Pencilled period price.
Comes with the original card packing ring.
Rare to come to the market place.
