This James Bond Aston Martin is in all original condition with none of the reproduction accessories, rife with this issue.
The car is fully functioning, complete with both figures. Looking unused and barely handled, this example has a close to mint, all original, intense glossy gold finish.
Suspension is firm on the front wheels, and rather soft on the rear. Bright spoked wheels. Fine tread original tyres are well-shaped.
A little surface mark on the bonnet. Tiny mark or two besides.
The 1st issue card plinth (i.e. without arrow on the red section where the model is placed) is clean, bright and very crisp. Couple of small wheel slot tears.
Plenty of appropriate artwork on the reverse, too:
The Instruction Packet has been opened (small tear) and we have checked to see that it is complete with all accessories (badge, Instruction Leaflet and spare villain).
Secret Instructions Leaflet (detail the retractable machine guns, opening roof and ejector seat, rear bullet screen and telescopic over-riders – all have been tested and work perfectly).
The 1st issue outer box has a pleasing, silky feel to the bright undamaged card. Note that since it is 1st issue, there is no shading detail around the lettering ASTON MARTIN DB5 on the box face and no thick black border around the JAMES BOND’S lettering, too. No tears or graffiti. No loss of colour vibrancy.
Included is the additional leaflet – the International ‘Model Car Makers to James Bond’ (not included with all examples).
