Corgi 1142
Corgi 1142 Holmes Wrecker Vehicle. Gold Boom issue. Very, very near mint/boxed (2 cellophane tears). With Retailer card, both mechanics and Instructions. Rare to find this complete. With delightful original shop receipt from Shrewsbury too! From The SC Collection.
Notes
Issued between 1967-74, this is an impressively detailed truck from Corgi.
With a bright red and white paint finish, perfect ‘Holmes Wrecker’ transfers on both sides, gold booms, intact wing mirrors with reflective stickers still in place, nice straight horns on the cab roof. Intact red coloured plastic hazard ‘light’. Both spare tyres are still in place. Complete and bright chevron paper label at the rear of the model. Model looks unused with only a couple of negligible marks, probably picked up in storage.
The blue and yellow window box has beautifully crisp, bright and fresh card, although do note that the original cellophane front has a couple of splits. Minor edge crumple to the card on one side and a very small tear. Complete with the rare Retailer Card!
The polystyrene tray is in pristine condition with a bright Corgi dog paper label in place. Both mechanics are included.
Not often found with the Instruction Leaflet:
And certainly rarely found with the original purchase receipt (from Shrewsbury). Period shop price label at an end flap too.
