Notes
Made by Dinky between 1963-68, this desirable and scarce set contains:
Chevrolet El Camino in an all original cream and turquoise finish. Red interior. Shiny shaped spun wheels with suspension. Sleek matte baseplate. In near mint plus condition with a little rough casting and the occasional tiny mark besides.
2 x Trailers in red plastic with silver diecast bases, and integral tow bars. Very near mint condition. Opening rear door on the closed trailer Complete “ACME TRAILER HIRE” transfer on both sides notably. Minor wheel arch marking.
The early lift-off lid pictorial card box is colourfully illustrated and includes the two pieces of original card packing inside the box.
The box is a touch grubby with wear mostly confined to one short end of the lid (surface loss due to a price label removal at some time, a small paper edge nick and a little end ruffling, couple of flecks of surface loss). Light wear besides. No sunfading. Period price is pencilled on box base .
An unusual and sought-after Dinky set.
