Notes

A rare version and the first we have ever offered for sale. Note the original black-painted telescopic over-riders. Correct to thoroughly check such an unusual version – the telescopic over-riders are original. Even the portion only visible between the wheels, inside the body shell and therefore impossible to detail post-assembly, are black. Original rivet fixing on base. Base is deep mid-grey (deeper shade when compared to a first issue example).
Exported to the U.S. Note that the ’Model Car Makers to James Bond Leaflet has dollar prices.

This is the second issue example of one of the most popular Corgi models ever, made between 1965-69. Note the absence of indicator light casting and single side vent present on this second issue (correct).

This James Bond Aston Martin is in all original condition with none of the reproduction accessories, rife with this issue.
The car is fully functioning, complete with both figures. Looking unused and barely handled, this example has a very close to mint, all original, vivid gold finish:

Suspension on all four spoked wheels. Fine tread original tyres are well-shaped.
Occasional tiny mark to the paint finish.
The 2nd issue card plinth (i.e. with arrow on the red section where the model is placed) is clean, bright and tear-free. Silky feel to the very fresh card. Both pull-tabs present and firmly in place. Small scuff if you want to fault the plinth and the lightest of small creases. No wheel slot tears.

The 2nd issue outer box is clean bright and complete. Crisp feel. Lightest wear. Note that since this is 2nd issue, there is shading detail around the lettering ASTON MARTIN DB5 on the box face and a thick black border around the JAMES BOND’S lettering, too. Minor handling wear only.
