Nicky 194
Nicky/Dinky Toys 194 Bentley S Coupe. Very scarce issue in light gold. Very near mint/boxed., with packing ring. From The Berlin Collection.
Notes
Sought after models that are so difficult to find in good condition! Dinky dies were sold to the Indian Firm S. Kumar & Co. trading as Atamco. (1968-70). Often known as Indian-Dinky toys, the finish was poor in comparison.
This example is a difficult version to find and has fared better than many of these ‘Indian Dinky’ models.
This Bentley model has a pleasing, pale metallic gold finish which includes the interior, a black ‘tonneau’, and comes complete with original driver and intact screen (factory fitted slightly askew but we are loathe to correct it). Intact shiny bumpers.
It seems that it is not enough to own a Bentley S Coupe, one needs it to be in gold throughout in order to impress!
In unused very close to mint condition.
One-piece plastic wheel and tyre construction. Often found in poor state, these are well-shaped and run easily.
Couple of little marks on the boot.
The box is a very good example (for Nicky Toys) too; complete, clean and bright. A little of the usual handling wear. With original Nicky Toys packing ring.
This ‘honorary’ Dinky is scarce and charming in equal measure.
