This 1st issue example, which started life in the USA, is in beautiful very near mint condition. Lovely and unmistakeable silky matte paint finish (few of thse have survived, most were gloss finish).

Minor bend to the rear fin, and one pin head mark and a couple of even smaller marks besides. Vivid blue screens, both seated figs. of Batman and Robin, bright chrome to launching tubes and cockpit, vivid Bathubs and Bat logos on both sides. Straight aerial. Pulsating flame, chain cutter and rocket launchers work well.
Card inner is very bright and clean with no wear to the wheel slots. One of the wings which would have carried the pic of Robin has been neatly removed, the lower wing is fine on the same side. The other wing is absolutely fine.

The Secret Instruction Packet is complete with no tearing. Carefully opened and contains Instructions, badge and 12 loose yellow rockets.
Packing : original wrap-around white card piece.

Brown card piece protects base from crushing.
The outer box is poor, although one side has bright and vivid colours (for display).
