Corgi 227
Corgi 227 Morris Mini-Cooper Competition Model. Very near mint/boxed. Blue with white bonnet and roof. 'Slim' racing number 3. From The Reigate Corgi Collection.
Notes
An eye-catching Corgi rally model in bright mid-blue finish with a white roof and bonnet, complete crossed flags on the bonnet.
Shaped spun wheels have suspension, complete racing number 3 on both doors (more unusual ‘slim’ racing numbers – most often bold i.e. thicker print), jewelled headlights. Barely a discernible mark to the paint finish. Closest inspection reveals a couple of small touch-ins (possibly factory).
The box is tear-free and the colours are bright. A little age/handling wear and note the small area of surface loss on an end flap. Period price label on the other.
Issued between 1962-65.
