The owner tell us:
“My father was UK Sales Manager for ‘Terex’ up until his retirement in the 1980’s. The company was headquartered in Motherwell Scotland, although he was based and worked from home in Tunbridge Wells, Kent.
He often had promotional items for distribution to prospective and existing customers. He gave my brother and I one of the dump trucks each.”

The TEREX Version of the Dinky Euclid Rear Dump Truck is a more difficult find, – and even harder with red wheels and in this picture box with a white background!
This promotional ‘TEREX’ issue is a sought-after Dinky commercial truck. Made between 1969-70. In very close to mint condition, with perfect ‘TEREX’ transfers on both sides. Occasional little mark to the paint finish.
In all original condition with just one owner from new.

Correct that this version has ‘TEREX’ cast into the base.

Hard to find box version is complete, brightly-coloured and has a crisp feel. Note the two punctures on a non-picture side caused by the winding handle (one has pressed back into place and is easy to overlook). This is a comparatively flimsy box for this heavy model and has fared rather well.
For added interest, the family have included this Parker pen with promotional ‘TEREX’ logo.
