A scarce military model – with window glazing and plastic hubs, a rare interim version with a metal (not plastic) winding handle cuff. So a combination of early and late features. We assume one of the first issues of the plastic wheeled-model. Striped Supertoys box has both upper and lower packing pieces.
The model has a minor area of tarnishing to the winding handle arm (not cuff) and a very small area of discolouration on the radiator with a couple of tiny marks. Otherwise a very pleasing silky matt finish. Bright axles, baseplate etc. complete with spare wheel. Original string and metal tow hook. Driver.
The ‘with windows’ box is very bright and fresh. Small area of surface at a lid end near a period dollar price label. Minimal wear besides. Both packing pieces are still present:
