Dinky 502 Foden Flat Truck. Excellent/boxed. Scarce 1st issue in burnt orange and green. From The 25 Year Collection in California.
Notes
In all original, honest condition, this rare colour version was issued from 1948. 1st type has a distinctive burnt orange finish, bright mid-green back and flash, matching early ridged wheels and fine tread black radial tyres(well-shaped and looking as-new). Tank slits and no chain post bosses. 20 mph transfer is still in place.
Some play chipping, but no retouches. Shiny metal parts, including axle ends.
The vibrant blue picture box shows the first type cab variation. Complete bright paper label. Scuff at short lid end. Minor wear besides. Note the stamp – 25 Dec. 1951.
