Corgi 497
Corgi 497 The Man From UNCLE's Thrushbuster. Rare cream export version. Near mint plus/boxed. With original Waverley ring and all card packing. From The Inverness Collection.
Notes
This is a most unusual item from Corgi in the scarce cream finish and made for just for one year only (1966). Usual colour finish is metallic blue.
This particular example has a rich cream finish with a notably complete and bright bonnet logo (light crease and tiny wear).
Please note that this is an authentic example, i.e. correct that it does not have a bonnet cast square immediately surrounding the bonnet label (only the metallic blue version has this casting detail).
This most unforgiving of paint finishes has a couple of very subtle touch-ins visible under magnification.
This example comes with the original Waverley ring.
The inner card stand is clean, bright and complete.
Small tear at a wheel slot. Tiny wear and the occasional micro-tear at the other wheel slots.
Lots of information on the UNITED NETWORK COMMAND FOR LAW AND ENFORCEMENT (U.N.C.L.E.) on box plinth reverse:
The outer box is complete and brightly-coloured. Minor age/handling wear only.
All packing included:
A rare t.v. inspired Corgi item.
